The second grade had an enrollment of twenty-nine at the beginning of the year. Since then the enrollment has been increased to thirty-four, some having come in from other schools. We were invited to the Hallowe'en party given by the third grade. It was lots of fun, because each one had to wear a paper mask before we went in. At Christmas we had a party and a tree and exchanged gifts. We also took part in the program given by all the grades. We also had a Valentine party. First we looked for candy hearts and then we had a Valentine box. We made a Shadow Show, called "The Three Billy Goats." Different children showed this in the first, third and fifth grade rooms. Two interesting projects worked out in this room were, The Indian Village, which the children constructed in the back of the room. We also had a grocery store and a little bank to keep the money in.
We feel that we have advanced very rapidly under Miss Lyle's teaching, especially in arithmetic, 'for we certainly pan make those old .figures stand up and beg.
