The year began with an enrollment of twenty and was increased to thirty by children coming in from other schools. The ages range from ten to fourteen. The standing of the pupils has varied a little each six weeks period, but almost two-thirds of the class have kept their average up to eighty-five or above. Some attractive posters have been made during the year. One group illustrated the famous stories of "Little Women," "Sarah Carew" and "Treasure Island." Another group dealt with good health habits, and another was of miscellaneous subjects.
With patience Mrs. Hammer has drilled us in fractions, decimals and the intricate stories of History; through old Grammar and the many interesting auxiliary stories connecting, until we feel sure that junior High work will be just enough advanced to keep our interest where it should be.
