A child born in the United States
of America inherit, the opportunity to avail himself of a high school education at public
expense. If he does not rake use of this opportunity he will find that his choice of
vocations after school will be greatly limited. Many occupations will be closed to him.
The professions are open only to the university graduate and the doors of the university
are open only to the high school graduate.
On the other hand the child that has completed his high school
course is prepared to continue his education and training if he so desires. The doors of
the university are open to him, and through these chars he ray go into any of the
professions he wishes to enter. He has the foundation necessary upon which to add any
desired training after school.
The graduating class of 1950 is to be congratulated upon having the foresight and
stink-to-itiveness to complete their high school course of study. If any of them so desire
the great fields of future education and training are now open to them.
